The Variables That Matter
The duration of a professional cleaning depends on three main factors: the size of the home, the type of service (standard vs. deep clean), and the current condition of the space. The estimates below assume a two-person team — which is how every Estrellas job is structured — and a home in a reasonable maintenance condition.
Standard Cleaning Estimates
A one-bedroom home or apartment typically takes 1 to 1.5 hours for a standard cleaning. A two-bedroom home takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. A three-bedroom home runs 2 to 2.5 hours. Larger homes are estimated individually based on square footage and the number of bathrooms, which are the most time-intensive rooms in any cleaning visit.
Deep Cleaning Estimates
Deep cleaning takes roughly double the time of a standard cleaning for the same space. A two-bedroom deep clean is approximately 3 hours. This accounts for the additional work involved: cleaning inside appliances, treating grout, cleaning inside cabinets, addressing baseboards and door frames, and all the other areas that standard cleaning skips.
Move-In and Move-Out Cleaning
Because these are done in empty spaces with access to every surface, they tend to be slightly faster than a deep clean of a furnished home of the same size, despite covering the same or greater scope. A two-bedroom move-out clean typically takes 2.5 to 3 hours.
First Visit vs. Recurring
The first visit in a recurring relationship is almost always longer than subsequent visits. The team is addressing accumulated buildup and learning the space. By the second or third visit, efficiency improves significantly and visit duration drops accordingly.
Post-Construction
Post-construction cleaning duration depends heavily on the scale of the work and the amount of construction debris and dust present. A standard residential renovation might take 4 to 6 hours. Large or complex projects are quoted individually.
